In this project, I created a playful animation series by modeling fruits and animals and combining them with music.
Background & Inspiration
Inspired by the music “Fruity Dogs” by Yiyi, a blogger from Taiwan.
The chant-like song combines the names of fruits and dogs in a rhythmic and playful tone. Many listeners describe it as calming and hypnotic, similar to listening to a mantra.
Design Process
3D Modeling
Different fruit-dog hybrids were modeled in Blender. Each character combines visual features from fruits and dog forms.
Modeling Details
Different model sizes and background colours were designed to match the shapes and personalities of each fruit-dog combination.
Animation Enrichment
Additional animated elements were added, including flowing ground patterns and colour transitions to enhance the playful atmosphere.
Uniform and Unique
Materials were designed with similar roughness and transparency to keep the visual language consistent across the series, while each fruit-dog still maintains its own unique colour palette and personality.
